Frequently asked questions
More helpI cannot find a cook
Search needs a valid England or Wales postcode. If nobody covers that postcode, join the waitlist on the results page.
When am I charged?
Checkout authorises the card. The charge is captured when the cook accepts. If they decline or the request expires, the authorisation is cancelled.
What happens if I cancel?
More than 48 hours before the visit, you are refunded in full. Between 24 and 48 hours, the refund is half. Under 24 hours, the captured amount stays with the booking. If the cook cancels, you are refunded in full.
How do messages work?
Messages belong to a booking. Open the booking and use the message box. The thread refreshes while you are looking at it.
Do I need to mention allergies?
You must say whether anyone eating has an allergy. If the answer is yes, name the allergens. The cook has to acknowledge that information before they can accept.
